Tears for Trayvon

If the case of Trayvon Martin does not tell you that there is severe racism in America, what will?

George Zimmerman is a murderer, plain and simple.

Not only did he leave his home intentionally looking for a "situation", he intentionally pursued and murdered a 17-year-old child. A Black male child for "looking suspicious" simply for holding a bag of skittles and a can of iced tea.

I am a black mother of sons, four in fact. I am so tired of worrying every time they leave home that they will encounter a George Zimmerman. My baby boy, my youngest son is 17, he and Trayvon are similar in age, color, and activities. Both live in areas that are predominately white. Is that the boy's crime?

Speak up and speak out, I did and will keep on doing it. Talked about it in my lecture today, stay aware of your own fears and prejudices. This was a grown man, a murderer, who had trouble before who killed an innocent child who chllingly was crying out for help, running for his life.

ENOUGH!
